Senior Systems Programmer
JOIN US IN COOKING UP THE NEXT LEGENDARY CO-OP GAMING EXPERIENCE!
Please note: As many of us are currently on summer vacation, the recruitment process will not start until mid-August.
10 Chambers is a fully funded scale-up game studio backed by Tencent and based in the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden. We are an ambitious, creative, and collaborative team with a lifelong love for games.
We are now working on our next project, a cooperative heist FPS in a techno-thriller setting - Den of Wolves. Originated and directed by Ulf Andersson, the game designer of Payday 1 & 2.
We’re looking for a Senior Systems Programmer who loves building robust systems, solves problems without hesitation, and owns their work from start to finish.
At 10 Chambers, we are working in Unity and C#, which we find gives us a great balance between creative power, development speed, and quality. We can offer you a stimulating and challenging environment and constant opportunities to both apply and refine your skills.
As part of a small, creative team responsible for delivering high-quality, player-facing systems, you will get to work across the stack rather than being limited to a single area.
- Develop and maintain low-level systems such as rendering, networking, memory management, and multithreading for an ECS architecture.
- Profile, debug, and optimize code to ensure smooth performance and reliability.
- Take responsibility for systems from initial design through launch, maintaining quality at every stage.
- Help mentor other developers, sharing knowledge and best practices for writing performant, maintainable code.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional game systems programming experience (C, C++, or C#).
- Proficient in software architecture and API design.
- Experience developing high-performant and concurrent software.
- Experience profiling and optimizing low-level engine code.
- Professional experience iteratively implementing engine features from inception to delivery.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Excellent command of English (Swedish is not a requirement).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with GPU programming.
- Experience with Unity DOTS stack.
- Experience with test-driven development.
Why join 10 chambers?
- Be part of an ambitious team which also practices work life balance through working hours and generous health benefits
- Learn as part of a collaborative team and grow with a fast-expanding company
- Opportunity to make a real difference to the success of 10 Chambers
Note: The position is on-site in our Stockholm office
